When it was announced that we were undertaking a Mini Tour to Canvey Island, it seemed a bit of a left field decision. Where exactly was Canvey Island and what was our connection with them. All can now be revealed after Chairman Hugh James sent us these photos of ex Canvey Island player and captain Gareth Nicholas in his prime. ( We think!) Note the action photo is in black and white.
