Please see below a link to more information via the WRU website about the fully funded ‘Back in the Game’ courses by School of Hard Knocks Charity. The courses are available, fully funded, to anyone with a link to a rugby club in Wales (from players to coaches, volunteers and parents).
During the Covid-19 pandemic SOHK developed ‘Back in the Game’, a one-week online employability programme for those who have lost work during the Pandemic.
The Back in the Game course is an online course, which will include three live Zoom sessions each morning for one week. The sessions include facilitated group work and are divided into three themes
The Body- We start every day with a physical session led by World class trainers Richard Hughes and Alecs Donavan
The Mind- Sessions give participants practical tools to manage anxieties, a growth mindset and support them to consider ways to address any mental ‘barriers’ between where they are now and where they aspire to be
The Future – Practical support with CV creation, goal setting, interview skills and their online profile
*The afternoons are dedicated to scheduled 1-1 phone calls to support individual needs.
