John Brown

Very sad to hear of the passing of John Brown, father of ex Llanharan players Steve and Derek Brown. John was an ex Bridgend player and committee man, who could often be seen drinking in the club with Sophie Green, when Steve and more so Derek were playing for the club in the late seventies and eighties. Much to John's delight both boys went on to play for Maesteg and then Bridgend. John was a real character of the "old school" and was never short of a word or two, when it came to rugby. We send our condolences to Steve and Derek, at this difficult time for them both.
