Big shoutout to Rhys & Dai.

“As the dust settles on another hard-fought rugby season, I wanted to take a moment to look back and express my gratitude to the people who make the Spaniels and the Milkmen what they are.

​Running a club takes an immense amount of behind-the-scenes dedication, and this year, we owe a massive debt of gratitude to two absolute pillars of our rugby family who are stepping away.

David McCallum (aka “Dai Scrum”)

​Firstly, a massive thank you to Dai for all his hard work, unwavering commitment, and dedication over the past few seasons.

​Dai has been an absolute cornerstone of both the Spaniels and Milkmen setups. His rugby expertise, tactical insight, and passion for the game will be sorely missed by every single player and supporter. On a personal note, I am going to deeply miss our Thursday night “team meetings” and the friendship we’ve forged over the last two seasons.

​Dai, we wish you nothing but the absolute best in whatever you choose to tackle in your next chapter. You’ll always have a place here.

Rhys Langdon

​Secondly, an enormous thank you goes to Rhys Langdon. It is no understatement to say that without Rhys’s drive, ambition, and vision, the Spaniels and Milkmen simply would not exist.

​Rhys has relentlessly driven both teams forward with an infectious, non-stop enthusiasm. Just like with Dai, I am going to miss his company and friendship away from the pitch just as much as his massive impact come match day.

​Rhys, I hope you enjoy your well-earned rest. I am certain we’ll still see you down at the club supporting the boys whenever your commitments allow. (A little birdie tells me those boots haven’t quite been thrown in the bin just yet)”
