Llanharan RFC would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Life Member Diane Pritchard on her 84th birthday today. Diane along with late husband Roy, has put her heart and soul in to Llanharan RFC since the age of 15. You name it and she has done it for the club. Running the Club Shop, selling raffle tickets, making the food and many other things that kept the club going through good times and more importantly the bad times. Both her sons Bleddyn and Graham played for the club, as well as her son-in-law Alan, right down to the current team, which features grandson Ross. Rugby is definitely in the blood as her other grandson Gareth, played for Heol-y-Cyw. She also served on the Committee and was rewarded for her efforts for the club, with Life Membership a few years ago. As far as my memory goes, she is the first and only woman to be granted this accolade in the club's history.
Not much left to say about this lady but to wish her a wonderful 84th birthday and we look forward to many more.
