In their first game of the season Llanharan 2nds made a great come back from 17-0 down to defeat Llantwit Fardre 2nds by 24-22. Llantwit opened the scoring with 3 tries and a conversion in the first 20 minutes and it wasn't looking good for the home side. However they fought back in the second half, firstly with a try from Gavin Allen, which was converted to make the score 17-7. A Llantwit player then received a yellow card, this helped Llanharan to score a second try through evergreen Chris Sharkey. This was also converted and meant the score was now 17-14. The away side then came back in to the game with an unconverted try, making the score 22-14 to Llantwit. However Llanharan wouldn't lie down and came back with a converted try from Jay Fletcher, making the score 22-21 to the away side. Llanharan kicked a penalty at some in the game but our man at the match isn't sure when. Any way it was a great start to season for the Seconds and Riley Howells, who converted all 3 tries and kicked a penalty.
