Llanharan RFC 71 Cilfynydd RFC 15

On a beautiful afternoon for running rugby Llanharan went through their full repertoire of skills, all carried out at an incredible pace. Cilfynydd tried their best to contain the home side and even scored 2 tries of their own but it was always an uphill battle for them.

Jack Thomson got the first try breaking off from a maul near the Cil line. Full back Mitch Jones converted. After some good back play, powerhouse centre Joe Davies scored the next try, with Mitch Jones added the conversion. The next try came from a barnstorming run by Joe Davies, which Ryan Russell finished off. Mitch Jones was again on target with the conversion. Joe Davies was off again on one of his runs and this time scored the try himself. Mitch Jones once again converted. We now had the bonus point we wanted. Mitch Jones scored the next try after a Ryan Russell break. The next try was scored by wing Tom Buckle, who was sent flying down the wing after good work by both backs and forwards. Mitch Jones converted. Llanharan scored again with a Jack Walker try, with Mitch Jones again converting.

Cil hit back with a try of their own before half time. Owain Howe was given a yellow card.

Half Time Score: Llanharan RFC 45 Cilfynydd RFC 10

Just after half time Cil scored another try, to show they weren't going to lie down. However Llanharan came back again, this time Leon Burton scoring after a short tap penalty near the Cil line. Leon Burton was in again for the next try. Harley Thomson converted both tries and then ran in for a try of his own, which he converted himself. The last try showed the power of our centres Joe Davies and Harley Thomson, with Harley crashing over the line to score a try which he converted.
