Princess Anne

Our Chairman Hugh James and our Secretary Richard Case, were lucky enough to meet Princess Anne on the day of the Wales v Scotland game, Llanharan having been the only club to be selected by the WRU to meet the Princess. Here's a couple of photos from the day and Richard's narrative of the day:

"Well Saturday was a bit surreal.

Not only did myself and Hugh James get to represent Llanharan RFC at the Principality Stadium, but we were also selected to be presented to Princess Anne after the game.

She asked about where our club was, how we coped during Covid, and whether we promote a girls game... so it was fantastic to tell her of the fantastic work being done to set up the Rhino's Hub to ensure our girls can continue playing rugby in our community!

I also got to chew off Gerald Davies ear and tell him about Dylan, Bethany and Cian.... plus he had some fond memories of a club legend, Trevor Worgan!

Although myself and Hugh made good use of the free bar, I don't think we disgraced ourselves"
