Semi Finals Here We Come!

It's going to be a busy end to our season as we are now in 2 Semi Finals, playing Penarth in the WRU Division 2 Cup Semi Final, a week on Saturday and then with no date set yet, taking on Bryncethin in the Semi Final of the Glamorgan County Silver Ball Competition. We are also top of East Central Division 2 with quite a few games too play, due to the wet weather this season. Some people have been asking why we aren't always playing our strongest side every week? I think there are 2 answers to this question. Firstly if you played the same team in every game, with so many games left to play, you would have a very tired side and with the pitches hopefully drying up, more likelihood of injury as the season progresses. Secondly, does anyone actually know our strongest team? This season has been all about a Squad rather than a Team and with such a strong Squad i am not sure what our best side is, so every player has to work hard to be in contention for selection. Work commitments and injuries will also play a part in selection.

We all have to get behind the boys in what could be a season that goes down in history as the one of the best ever, if not the best in the history of Llanharan RFC.
