A bit of a personal thing this one! Some of you will recognise the man in this photo, he's so big you can hardly miss him. He's a friend of mine, who has just been elected Chairman of the Wales Deaf Rugby Union. Tyrone played professional rugby in France, Scotland and America and is the proud owner of a World Cup Winners medal, when Wales Deaf beat New Zealand Deaf in the final on Eden Park in 2002. He also coached the Welsh Deaf for a number of years and took them on a long unbeaten run, when they never lost a game to England Deaf. A few years back, when we were struggling, he helped us out by taking some coaching sessions at the club. He also played for several " first" and "second" class clubs in Wales, his home town club of Maesteg amongst them. I wish him well in his new role as does Llanharan RFC, who knows we might see some Welsh Deaf International games played on the Dairyfield.

If you know of any players you think might qualify for the Welsh Deaf Team, please let me know.
