Youth win at Llantwit Major

Llanharan Youth had a convincing win over Llantwit Major Youth by 38-10. Another solid display from the Llanharan team in defence and attack, again resulted in a well deserved win away from home in an often ill tempered affair. Llanharan ran up 21pts by the 25 minute mark with tries from Alex Newbold, Elliot Jenkins and Marcus Chard. All 3 converted by Alex Newbold. In a competitive second quarter Llantwit Major hit back with some gritty play to make the score 10-21 at half time. The second half however was one way traffic. After a brief break in play, where the referee called both captains together in order to calm both teams down, Llanharan pulled away with tries from Morgan Williams, another from Elliot Jenkins and Leon Burton. Alex Newbold converted the first. The referee called a halt to the game 5 minutes early after a nasty injury to a Llantwit Major player. This and a few missed chances,stopped the score from being higher. Another win and more importantly another improved performance, with every player playing his part. Man of the Match was Alex Newbold.
