Cardiff Quins 19 vs Llanharan 14

Once again Llanharan played some good rugby with out coming away with a win. Quins started the game with the wind behind them and put early pressure on the Llanharan line. Some good passing by the Quins backs gave them an early 7-0 lead. This method of scoring was repeated a further two times by the home side, making the score 19-0 to the Quins. Just before half time a driving maul near the oppositions line resulted in Brandon Nelson going over for a try, which Lloyd Thomas converted. Half time score Quins 19 Llanharan 7. After a half time pep talk from new coach Gareth Nicholas, Llanharan started the second half with a renewed sense of purpose. After a great break by Owain Howe, Brandon Nelson was on hand to score the try, which Lloyd Thomas converted. Llanharan ran the ball as much as they could to try and get the 7 pts. needed to win the game but it wasn't to be. This was a good all round performance from Llanharan, which must have pleased our new coach. There was no lack of effort but the Quins kicking game was slightly better.
