Llanharan have been drawn away to old foes Penarth in the first round of the WRU Bowl. The match will be played on Saturday the 21st. of September. In 1987 we played Penarth(who were a 1st. Class Team in those days) in a Cup game on their ground. The match was televised live and we came out winners by 16 points to 11. At the end of the game wing Mel Pring was interviewed on TV and nearly entered the Guinness Book of Records for using the word "brilliant" so many times in his interview. (sorry Mel)
