LLANGENNECH 21 LLANHARAN 20 (HT 11-13)

Llanharan did most of the attacking in this Swalec cup tie, but it was Llangennech who moved into the first round proper as they made the most of fewer chances, a second half seven points interception try proving particularly important.

A close game was expected with each side having a similar record in their respective Swalec One East and West divisions, but the narrow score line belied the territorial advantage we held.

Our head coach Dennis John commented that he was pleased with the performance but disappointed with the result, and those who travelled to the town on the outskirts of Llanelli would have wondered just how we came away empty handed
