Llanharan v Caerphilly October 2009

SWALEC ONE EAST

LLANHARAN 66 CAERPHILLY 5 (HT 17-5)

Poor Caerphilly were blown away by a second half storm that brought us forty-nine unanswered points .

These were troubled times for the Castletown men who were still picking up the pieces from the disintegration of a relatively successful team.

Several of their personnel made their way to the Dairyfield, among them outside half Codey Rees who certainly gave them cause to regret their loss with a twenty six points haul made up of a try, as he took Glen Holloway’s clever inside ball, a penalty, and nine conversions in an afternoon of unblemished kicking success.

Llanharan: Elliott Foils (Dai Atkins 34), Dorian Thomas, Aaron Pinches, Neil Dallimore, Paul Adams, Codey Rees, Glen Holloway (Dafydd Morris 58), James Greenfield (Gareth Edwards 50), Nathan Huish (Aaron Griffin 57), Aled Richards, Chris Payne (James Connors 60), Lee Davies, Justin Jones, Sam Studley, Glenn Slater.

Llanharan tries: Aaron Pinches 3, Codey Rees, Elliott Foils, Paul Adams, Dorian Tomas, Glen Holloway and Nathan Huish. Cons 9 and pen: Codey Rees.

Caerphilly try: Will Worthington.
