Important News from Llanharan RFC Team Management.

Gar & Andy are stepping down at the end of the season… Where do we start? What can we say? How about them having the belief in us, Llanharan RFC as a club but also in a team. We were at an all time low on and off the field, they came along and showed that belief, absolute madness but we thank you for that. We can use all the buzz words; Inspirational, Motivational, Positivity, Passionate; they brought all that and more with an infectious enthusiasm; whether on or off the field. As coaches they installed Values, Discipline, Perseverance and Teamwork and a whole lot of Patience during times of struggle, and built a team.Their leadership has shaped us all, more so the players as players and also as individuals. You (Gar & Andy) have made the players see what they can be rather than what they are, that ethos may well have rubbed off on a lot of us.The both of them have had a profound impact on and off the field… Having the whole bar topless during Karaoke, the sight of the train station packed out with our supporters on cup final day, the reception back in the club after those cup final victories, what memories. Let’s not forget an unbeaten 2023-24 season 22-0 in the league and all competitions, Div3 Champions, Div2 Champions, Div3 WRU National Cup Winners, Div2 WRU National Cup Winners and the first coaches to win the elusive SilverBall, 6 Ref awards that included Style/Quality of the rugby and an interview with Phil Steel for Scrum5.Gar & Andy, you have made a lasting impact on the club, the players, the management team, committee and not least our supporters. As a club we could not be prouder to say that you are our leaders, you have been Inspirational, Motivational, Positive, Passionate and above all Loyal.Good Luck to whatever life brings you and your families. It’s a big THANK YOU from all of us at Llanharan RFC.
